Do you like the taste of butter?
For many people, the answer is a profound yes, absolutely or who doesn’t?
And we agree. However, for many people, it’s followed by a sense that butter is not healthy.
While there has been extensive debate regarding the healthfulness of butter over the years we are not suggesting it’s healthy as olive oil but used occasionally, which could be part of a healthy diet.
Now, wouldn’t it be great if there existed a butter that tasted like butter but was indeed as healthy as olive oil? Or better yet, even healthier than olive oil while retaining a great buttery taste?
Good News.
It does exist. It’s called Macadamia Nut Oil.
Benefits of Cold Pressed Australian Macadamia Nut Oil
And while the omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acid ratio is a better polyunsaturated to monounsaturated than olive oil, which is good for heart health and brain health, the taste is undeniable richer than olive oil and avocado oil.
It’s not uncommon for an individual to have a highly processed, high in bad transfat while low in the good fat diet. And while quality Fish Oil is indeed the best of the fats, it’s not enjoyable -especially for cooking.
So as a way to help achieve results such as lower triglycerides, lower blood pressure, lower blood sugar, lower insulin, fight free-radicle damage, greater energy, smoother (skin, hair, nails) with less risk of premature aging, we recommended Macadamia Nut Oil.
In addition to the great health benefits, there were some other clear advantages of using macadamia nut oil for cooking.
First is the smoke point. The smoke point of an oil is the temperature at which it stops shimmering and starts smoking.
The smoke point is also called the burning point of oil and can change the properties of oil from being very healthy and high in omega-3 good fats, to carcinogenic and dangerous.
Fish oil has a low smoke point (90-degrees Fahrenheit) which makes it a terrible cooking oil even if you could tolerate the fishy smell and taste.
Furthermore, this is the reason that quality fish oil is molecularly distilled at cold temperatures in order to preserve the high omega properties.
Olive oil is slightly higher (350-degrees Fahrenheit) but still not optimal for high heat cooking.
Macadamia nut oil is very high heat stable. Most indexes list Mac oil at 410-degrees Fahrenheit but we can attest that it can hold up to even higher temperatures. This makes it wonderful cooking, grilling, sauteing oil even at the highest temperatures.
We use Strength Genesis extra virgin cold-pressed Australian mac oil to cook: veggies, fish, pork and beef. We even spay it on the grill before we cook the chicken to make it non stick. Lastly, we love to spray the pan before I make eggs. Non-stick and healthy!
Lastly, as mentioned earlier, it has a rich butter taste.
While olive oil is a great oil, and excellent as a finishing oil on a cold salad. The taste of olive oil is somewhat flat.
We can promise you when you use mac oil for most of your cooking you’ll deeply enjoy the rich-buttery flavor of many foods.
You might think that you’re cooking with butter – but this is healthy for sure!
