Surviving Black Friday

As I am getting pummeled with excessive Calories & Black Friday Sales I wanted to share a meaningful strategy this holiday season. Yes, Americans don’t usually do to well this time of year. According to New England Journal of Medicine, between Thanksgiving and New Years Day:

  • Women gain 5lbs
  • Men gain 7lbs

What’s worse, is that most people are not at their ideal weight before the season begins. So it’s just excess weight upon an already increased body weight. tippmix online   To keep your weight in check

Strategy #1: Make time for yourself – To Exercise

  • It doesn’t have to be every day
  • In fact, for most people 3x/wk is fine
  • But those days need to be planned and scheduled

However, all exercise is NOT equal. See calories are burned in your muscles.  And when you do strength training, you burn more calories – 24hr/day. It’s important to know what to do to avoid injury.Workouts should be designed based upon skeletal alignment and workout experience. poker nyerőgépes játékok

Based upon pain/Injury surrounding:

  • Knees
  • Back
  • Shoulders
  • Neck
  • Feet

Cardio is also helpful to burn more calories – especially if it is done immediately after strength training.

Workout order:

1. Warm Up (5-min)

2. Strength Training (30min)

3. Cardio (20-30min) = more calories burned 24hrs/day

Strategy #2: Eat Properly on all NON – Event Days

When a someone becomes my client, I provide them with resources that contain approved foods, dangerous foods, best snack foods, sample food schedule. There are 33-days between Thanksgiving and New Years. This is what I teach my clients:

  1. Thanksgiving
  2. Christmas Eve
  3. Christmas Day
  4. New Years Eve
  5. New Years Day
  6. Holiday Party #1
  7. Holiday Party #2

That’s seven (7) total event days to have what you want – which is more than fair. Now 33 days – 7 days = 26 days. fogadóiroda  Those 26-days are important to lower your insulin level.

  1. Select only foods with a GIycemic Index under 40 (protein, fats, veggie carbs)
  2. Avoid grains, starches and sugars
  3. Don’t drink calories (includes milk, juice, soda etc)
  4. Avoid Alcohol

The lower your insulin levels, the less fat you’ll gain, the less inflammation of your joints, the more energy you’ll have and the better you’ll feel.
